What is Sporty?
Sporty is an online platform for organising community sport. Sporty is supplied by Sportsground Ltd, New Zealand's largest single provider of websites, registrations, and competition management for sport in the country. Sporty is the official partner for most major national sports organisations, including Volleyball NZ, Netball NZ, NZ Football, NZ Rugby League, Touch NZ, and MotorSport NZ. Click here
What has Sporty built specifically for volleyball?
Working with Volleyball New Zealand, Sporty has extended its SKED competition management system to handle the parts of volleyball that don't fit a generic sports platform:
- Set-based scoring for 3-set and 5-set formats, play-all and first-to-win
- A volleyball standings table showing Ranking Points, Set Ratio, and Points Ratio, with the right tiebreaker order applied automatically
- One-click scorecard generation, pre-filled with teams, officials, captains, and player and libero details
- Duty team assignment, including automatic fair distribution across the competition
- Jersey/uniform numbers on player registrations, visible in TeamBuilder and on exports
These features are already live in SKED for any association that subscribes to it for managing volleyball competitions and tournaments.
